As winter sets in, laser equipment also requires professional care. When temperatures plummet, the role of chillers becomes particularly critical.
How to Properly Add Antifreeze
Part.1
Turn off all equipment (water chillers, lasers, etc.). Open the drain valve on the water chiller to empty the reservoir. Rinse the reservoir with water and drain it completely.
Part.2
Remove the filter cartridge from the water chiller and the filter cartridge from the laser's inlet port. Clean them thoroughly and reinstall them.
Part.3
Mix the prepared antifreeze solution with distilled water in a separate container until thoroughly blended. Pour this mixture into the chiller's water tank. (Never pour antifreeze directly into the chiller, as it will not dissolve fully in water and may form flocculent deposits that clog filters and filter cartridges.)

Precautions
01 No antifreeze solution can fully replace distilled water and should not be used continuously throughout the year. After winter, the piping system must be flushed with distilled water or purified water, particularly the filter cartridges in the water chiller and the laser inlet. Distilled water must be reinstated as the cooling agent.
02 During extended shutdowns (e.g., Spring Festival holidays) or prior to laser transport, completely drain all cooling water from the equipment. Use compressed air to thoroughly blow out residual water from all internal components (including the laser and chiller) to prevent internal freezing and component damage.
