On January 9th, the first Sichuan Chongqing Sheet Metal Industry Collaborative Development Conference was held in Chongqing. In traditional automotive sheet metal processing, the cutting of irregular sheet metal parts usually requires the use of stamping molds. However, the manufacturing cost of molds is high, and a complete mold often requires millions of dollars in investment. This is undoubtedly a huge expense for car manufacturers. Especially for new energy vehicles, due to their personalized and iterative characteristics, the utilization rate of molds is often low, resulting in cost sharing difficulties. Therefore, traditional mold cutting methods are no longer able to meet the needs of sheet metal processing for new energy vehicles.

 

 

 

In response to this pain point, Kebei Laser has launched three/four head material discharge line technology. This technology does not require the use of molds and can significantly save mold costs. At the same time, compared with single head and double head laser cutting machines, the three/four head cutting line greatly expands the processing range, allowing for the one-time processing of longer and wider sheet metal, reducing the number of splicing and secondary positioning of the sheet metal, thereby significantly shortening the processing cycle and reducing the risk of precision errors.

 

The three/four head feeding line of Kebei Laser mainly consists of three parts: a roll flattening machine, a laser cutting machine, and a feeding platform.

 

Roll flattening machine has strong flattening ability, which can gradually roll and flatten the coil material to ensure the flatness of the board. The laser cutting machine adopts two modes of asynchronous cutting and synchronous cutting, which can be flexibly switched according to processing requirements to achieve efficient and precise cutting. The receiving platform uses an automated cutting system to quickly transport the cut sheet metal parts to the picking area, achieving efficient and smooth production line closure.

In addition to the innovation of hardware equipment, Kebei Laser has also independently developed nesting software, which analyzes and disassembles complex automotive sheet metal part graphics through intelligent algorithms, automatically plans the optimal nesting plan, and improves the utilization rate of sheet metal to over 98%.

 

           

 

At the same time, the three/four head design makes cutting task allocation more flexible, further improving the completion rate of nesting cutting per unit time. In addition, the cutting line of Kebei Laser also has overall advantages such as high precision, high efficiency, and high flexibility, which can meet the customized production needs of multiple vehicle models and small batches.
