From June 27 to 29, 2025, the Annual Conference of Shandong Provincial Steel Structure Industry Association and the Technology Seminar on New Building Industrialization and High-Quality Steel Structure Housing were held in Boxing. To accelerate the transformation of steel structure buildings towards intelligent design, industrialized production, and digital operation and maintenance, over 300 leading figures, renowned experts, and enterprise representatives from the steel structure industry gathered to explore the path of transformation and upgrading for steel structure construction.

General Manager Liu elaborated on the outstanding performance of the Seven-Star Intelligent Laser Processing Center. Integrating laser cutting, precision machinery, intelligent detection, and 3D six-axis numerical control technology, a single device can achieve high-precision processing of various materials such as section steel, flat plates, round pipes, square pipes, angle steel, channel steel, and I-steel. It can easily handle various needs, whether it is complex cutting, beveling, locking, hole cutting, or line drawing.

Its 26-meter-long dual-station design has greatly improved processing efficiency. Only 2 workers are needed to complete the processing of various materials, effectively reducing labor costs. Moreover, based on the advanced control system, the Seven-Star Intelligent Laser Processing Center can also achieve efficient and precise cutting of special-shaped materials such as variable-diameter beams, wing plate widened beams, crane beams, and circular pipe intersecting line bevels. It meets the diversified production needs of enterprises and brings a comprehensive intelligent solution for steel structure processing.


 

At the conference site, laser hybrid welding technology also became a highlight attracting everyone's attention. Laser hybrid welding combines the advantages of laser welding and traditional arc welding, which can improve welding speed while enhancing the strength and quality of welds. For welding operations commonly seen in the steel structure industry, such as H-beams and U-shaped groove steel plates, once the laser hybrid welding is started with one click, it can work continuously for a long time. The stable welding quality reduces manual intervention and significantly improves production efficiency.

Compared with traditional welding methods, laser hybrid welding not only reduces labor costs but also effectively minimizes welding deformation, resulting in higher precision of welded products. This better meets the requirements for high quality and high precision in modern steel structure buildings, providing strong support for steel structure manufacturing enterprises to enhance their product competitiveness.

General Manager Liu highlighted the core advantages of the Xinghan Series High-Power Laser Cutting Machine. It achieves the powerful functions of a beveling machine at the price of a flatbed machine, reducing the average market investment by 25%, truly achieving high cost performance. This equipment innovatively integrates intelligent bevel cutting functions. Through software algorithm optimization and hardware structure upgrading, it can complete one-step forming cutting of complex bevels such as V-type, X-type, Y-type, and K-type, with a bevel angle of 45°, as well as high precision and strong stability.

The equipment is equipped with a real-time tracking and feedback system, which can accurately process the height data of bevel cutting, effectively avoiding the problem of warping caused by heat during cutting, and ensuring that the precision of 12-meter-long straight bevels reaches ±1mm. In batch operation scenarios, users only need to set the bevel parameters once, which can then be automatically synchronized to all parts, saving 90% of programming time. This "cost reduction and efficiency improvement" solution has solved the industry-wide problem of high costs in traditional bevel cutting for steel structure enterprises.

 

The riveting and welding work island, another important achievement showcased by Kebei Laser this time, provides an intelligent integrated solution for steel structure riveting and welding processing. It integrates a number of advanced technologies such as intelligent positioning, automatic clamping, robotic riveting, and laser welding, realizing the full-process automated operation from workpiece loading to the completion of riveting and welding.

This work island is equipped with a high-precision visual recognition system, which can quickly identify workpieces of different specifications and guide robots to achieve precise positioning with an accuracy of ±0.5mm, ensuring the correctness of riveting and welding. For large and heavy steel structure components, the heavy-duty bearing platform of the riveting and welding work island can carry them stably. Cooperating with multi-axis linkage robots, it can easily complete the riveting and welding operations of complex parts.

In terms of production efficiency, the riveting and welding work island optimizes the operation process by centralizing the work that traditionally requires the cooperation of multiple devices and stations in riveting and welding processing into a single work island. This reduces the time for workpiece transfer and the cost of process connection, increasing production efficiency by more than 40%. At the same time, automated operations reduce manual intervention, minimize quality issues caused by human errors, and improve product consistency and qualification rates, bringing significant economic benefits to enterprises.
